Airbrushes
Airbrushes are air operated tools designed to spray various liquids, such as ink and dye. The most common media sprayed by an airbrush is paint. The liquid is converted into a fine spray or mist usually when it passes through the nozzle of the airbrush.
Airbrushes allow the operator a high degree of control and creativity. The operator controls the amount of paint being applied with a trigger on the airbrush. The degree at which liquids can be reduced to tiny droplets allows the operator to create incredibly smooth blending effects.
The role of the airbrush has expanded over the years to include many creative outlets. Airbrushes are used in photography, murals and various hobbies. Industrial applications for the airbrush include coating firearms and painting artwork on vehicles and helmets. Airbrushes have been put to work to enhance personal adornment through airbrushing makeup application, tanning, finger nail art and clothing.
